Smetana's Litomysl 2007

The 49th international opera festival will consist mainly of oopera performances, concerts, gala, orotarios, cantatas and song evenings, in short all events where singing plays the dominant role... The main venue for the festival will be the beautiful Litomysl castle which was added to UNESCO's list of world cultural heritage sites in 1999.

141st Anniversary of the battle of Hradec Kralové

An annual event to commemorate the Battle of Chlum fought during the Austro-Prussian War in 1866, the second largest and bloodiest battle of the 19th century. The re-enctment on the actual battlefield features horses, special effects and hundreds of uniformed men from tens of military history clubs from Czeh Republic, Germany, Austria and other countries across Europe
