Litomyšl
Litomyšl is a pleasant Bohemian town, much less touristy than Karlovy Vary or Cesky Krumlov, meaning that you can enjoy a quiet visit and take in the town's charm.

Litomyšl Castle boasts a magnific edifice and is one of most beautiful in the the country. In 1999, the chateau was included on the UNESCO list of cultural monuments. Inside, visitors can admire a classic theatre with an original stage.
The town is also the birthlace of the composer Bedřich Smetana. His family hame is located in an ancient beer hall where his father worked. Today, the building is a museum dedicated to artist.
Also worth visiting is the Portmoneum, whose interior is covered in murals by artist and writer Josef Vachal
Every year on June 21, the town hosts a Smetana Festival. The festival is very popular we advise reserving tickets ahead of time.
