Swimming club
- Riverside Sharks. Riverside Swimming Club was set up in October 2005. The purpose of the club was to help develop established swimmers. Emphasis is upon stroke, stamina and skills development. Another goal is to develop an increased awareness of the discipline and character needed for competitive swimming. Riverside Sharks now has over 60 members ranging from 4-17 years of age and are students from a variety of Prague 6 schools. Training sessions regularly take place 7 times a week at Strahov swimming pool located at Strahov Stadium.
Public swimming pools
In the phone book, the country's many swimming pools are listed under the Czech word "Bazen". The most famous pool in Prague is the Podoli open-air swimming pool, which is warmed in winter and remains open year-round.
- Podoli. Podolská 74, Prague 4, Open daily from 6am to 9pm. There are two swimming pools (50m each).
- Motorlet Radlice. Vymolova 2, Prague 5. This pool is open only on weekends, from 10am to 7pm.
- Strahov, Vanickova, Prague 5.
- HC Sparta Praha Zimni Stadion. Za Elektrarnou 419, Open on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
- Hotel AXA. Na Porici 40, Open weekdays from 6 to 9am and 5 to 10pm; weekends from 9am to 9pm.
- Hotel Intercontinental. Namesti Curieovych 5, Prague 1. Open daily from 6am to 11pm.
- Hotel Pyramida. Belohorska 24, Prague 6-Brevnov. Open daily from 9am to 10pm.
- YMCA. Na Poříčí 12, Prague 1. Hours for the public vary according to classes, but usually weekdays 6.30-9am, 1.30-4pm and 8-10pm, weekends 10am-9pm.
