Telč
A beautiful little town 160 kilometres from Prague, Telč has a well preserved old town which enchants visitors. Baroque sculptures and colourful facades populate its square. The town has a truly sumptuous architecture, except for Sundays - when stores and restaurants close.

The main attraction in Telč - besides its beautiful main square - is the local castle (open Tuesday-Sunday 8am to 5pm during the summer months). Visitors to this Renaissance-era castle can admire original interiors with excellent period furniture, exquisite coffered ceilings, richly decorated vaults and hunting prizes in the knight’s bedroom. Afterwards, enjoy a leisurely stroll through the unforgettable castle park.
Also worth visiting is Galerie Jana Zrzavého (the Jan Zrzavý Gallery), which is located in the castle. It displays the art of contemporary Czech painter Jan Zrzavý, who died in 1977.
