Františkovy Lázně
Founded in 1793, the town of Františkovy Lázně is the smallest but most picturesque of the thermal spa towns in the “Bohemia triangle.” Its waters are well-known for their healing properties, especially for fertility ailments.

The city’s architecture is based on the 19th-century Empire style, giving the town a very different feel from Marianské Lázně or Karlovy Vary.
Here, there are fewer embellishments, pastels or ornate designs. However, the buildings are still beautiful, with yellow and white dominating..
The city also contains promenades where people taking the waters at the spa can peacefully stroll with the cups traditionally used at Bohemia's spas. There are fewer visitors than in the other thermal towns, as well as many younger guests. Indeed, Frantiskovy Lázně is reputed among young mothers who have difficulties with pregnancy.
