The Metropole is primarily a shopping destination, but this weekend promises to be a little different. Starting at 11am, visitors will be treated to an exciting program featuring a concert by the exotic Czechoslovak Superstar finalist Ben Cristovao and the first time ever that a pétanque tournament has been held inside a shopping center – the Metropole Pétanque Rallye.

All participating pairs (all Metropole visitors are welcome to participate) will engage in five color-coded disciplines, including a “pink surprise.” At the end of the tournament, the teams receive a small gift and can enter their players’ cards into a lottery for valuable prizes.

The game will be played with special indoor pétanque balls which you may not have seen before. They are imported exclusively by “Pétanque pro Vás”, and anyone interested may purchase them directly at Metropole Zličín.

Metropole Zličín is one of the largest shopping malls in Prague, and is located directly next to the Zličín metro stop. At Metropole, you will find all brand name stores that are present in the Czech Republic, including Zara, Camaïeu, Promod, Springfield, Etam Lingerie, Marks & Spencer and H&M. Every hour on the hour, you can enjoy a musical fountain with a light show.
