Children's Equestrian Day at Ctenice Castle
June 2009 - June 6 is the sixth annual children's equestrian competition for the City of Prague Cup.

The event is dedicated to children's jockeys on ponies and is one of the main pony competitions in Prague and the nearby surroundings. Children will compete in two age categories: 8 to 12 and 13 to 16.
Visitors will be welcolmed by a rich accompanying programe, including pony or carriage rides for kids, and the local carriage museum featuring historical horse-drawn carriages will be open as well. The museum is definitely worth a visit, even if you don't come for the competition.
Another part of the entertainment program is an exhibition of dog training, plus other fun attractions for children. The castle's permanent exhibition, "Under Muttonchops and Frock Coat: The Habsburgs and The Czech Lands 1791-1914," offers more than three hundred exhibition items, and a stroll through the romantic castle gardens are another of the castle's attractions.
And don't worry about going hungry. The event features an attractive selection of refreshments, including grilled delicacies, lemonade and beer. True gourmets can also take lunch at the restaurant in the newly opened hotel located directly on the castle grounds.
The castle can be reached via bus no. 302 from the Letňany stop on the metro's C line (take the bus to the "Ctěnice" stop. If you're up for a short walk, take bus 259, 375 or 302 from the metro to the "Vinořský hřbitov" stop, then follow the yellow hiking trail through the forest park..
