The Incheba Arena in Prague's Holešovice district will soon play host to various circus ensembles, who will compete in front of an expert jury.

Elephant trainers from Germany, sea lions from Great Britain, acrobats from Morocco, and tightrope walkers from the Czech Republic - to name just a few - will cheer audiences large and small. An international jury headed by famous Czech actor and comic Bolek Polívka will vote on the best act.

Although the circus tradition has a long history in the Czech Republic, it declined uner communism, and has made a return in recent years. A welcome addition to the "Letní letná" festival of new circus held each August, Cirkus Cirkus plan to present more traditional circus acts.
