Not in the mood for public transport, or tired of slogging down the cobblestones of Old Town? Why not discover Prague from the comfort of an open-top classic car? The city abounds in old cars that have been restored for sight-seeing tours.

See history while riding in history – one particular car you will encounter is the Praga. a popular collectors' item. Founded in 1907, Praga is the third oldest machine manufacturer in the Czech Republic. The company produced not only motorbikes and cars, but also agricultural machinery, motorboats, planes, tractors and even military material. In the 1930s, it was at the top of its sector, with more of the two-thirds of the country's production. However, production stopped with the start of the Second World War.

If you decide to tour Prague in one of these oldtimers, your driver will be glad to help you discover the Old Town by telling you some of its history.

A sightseeing trip costs around 50 euros for a 40-minute tour. The classic cars are easily found on the edge of Old Town Square to the left of the astronomical clock on the Lesser Town side of Charles Bridge.
