Five petalled Rose Celebrations in Cesky Krumlov
April 2008 - Medieval music, tumblers, sword fighting, market stalls and busy taverns – this is what you will find in Český Krumlov during the town’s Renaissance festival called the Five-petalled Rose Celebrations (20–22 June 2008). Medieval music, tumblers, sword fighting, market stalls and busy taverns – this is what you will find in Český Krumlov (The main stage will be situated in the gardens of the Eggenberg Brewery which on the first day will welcome international stars in the form of the group, Blackmore´s Night.

The Saturday evening will see the town’s crooked UNESCO-listed streets illuminated with fire of all
kinds. The celebrations to mark the Summer Solstice (June 21) will commence with a fire procession at 22.00, and will end at midnight with a firework display launched from the chateau terrace and a procession with an ancient theme along the River Vltava.
Sunday is traditionally reserved for events for children who will have the chance to try their hand at being a stuntman.
Pupils from Český Krumlov‘s schools will compete in a Young Person’s Tournament, and in the afternoon the brewery gardens will host a human chess competition.
