Goran Bregovic gives free concert on Old Town Square
September 2009 - Fans of the movies of Emir Kusturica will know unmistakeable brass band rhythms - on Thursday, September 17, Goran Bregovic brings his Weddings and Funerals Orchestra to Prague's Old Town Square.

Prague International Marathon presents "For our Czech Friends, from the Slavic South," a concert by Goran Bregović and his Weddings and Funeral Orchestra. The concert is presented with support from the embassies of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, and Serbia.
Contemporary Balkan composer and music producer Bregović has helped popularize Balkan music all over the world. He is best known for the music he composed for the films of Emir Kusturica. His music has been strongly influenced by the music of Balkan Gypsies, world music, rock and modern electronic music
