Last chance to see: Prague Rococo - Cultural and Social Life in Prague 1740–1791
January 17, 2012 - The exhibtiion "Prague Rococo: Cultural and Social Life in Prague 1740–1791" will come to a close on January 29.

Prague in the 18th century
Prague has experienced many heydays. It flowered in the late Gothic period under Emperor Charles IV, many of its monuments are baroque masterpieces, and even Cubism lefts its mark on the city's architecture. Rococo, being essentially a late baroque style, is thus a natural component of Prague's cityscape.
This exhibition looks at late-18th-century Prague, the influence of the Enlightenment, urban development, and more. Items on display include furniture, clothing, small objects, paintings, sculptures, books and more, all from the collections of cultural institutions such as the Museum of Decorative Arts, the National Gallery, the National Museum, the Strahov Library, the Archives of Prague Castle, and more.
The exhibition runs until January 29 at the Clam-Gallas Palace at Husova 20 in Prague's Old Town (map). For more information, visit the website of the exhibition organizer, the Archives of the City of Prague.
