Leonardo da Vinci exhibit extended to 15 Feb.

December 2008 - "Leonardo da Vinci: Man, Inventor, Genius" is the name of a fascinating exhibit currently on display in Prague

On 15 April 1452, a man was born who would change the world like no other. Born into poverty, thanks to his inventiveness and creativity, he became a scientist, artist and universal genius who left the world an extensive and multifaceted legacy. Leonardo da Vinci was a painter, sculptor, architect, art historian, scientist, author and inventor.

The exhibition looks at the most interesting aspect of da Vinci's life, his skill as an inventor. It offers a unique opportunity to see 50 of his most important inventions, which have been painstakingly fashioned precisely according to the master's detailed sketches.

The exhibition takes place until 15 February at the Palác Rapid, 28. řijna 13, near Můstek at the foot of Wenceslas Square. Admission is CZK 200 to 300; tickets can be bought online at Ticketpro.
