Letní Letná festival of new circus and theater
August 9, 2010 - Starting August 18, the annual circus and theater festival Letní Letná ("Summer Letná") returns to Prague’s Letná Plain. This year’s festival features almost 30 ensembles, including special guest, France’s Daniel Gulko and his Cahin Caha ensemble.
This is definitely a festival worth seeing – a feast for the eyes, and often not requiring any foreign language knowlege.
Gulko will be presenting his new performance, Rev, consisting of six actors (acrobats, clowns, and a singer).
Another festival highlight is the Czech ensemble La Putyka, which recently travelled to China to represent the Czech Republic at the world expo.
The fourteen-day festival also features many performances suitable for children and adults alike such as new circus performances or puppet theater.
Letní Letná takes place August 18 to 31. For more information, visit Letniletna.cz.
