First organized in 1992, the idea of Mezi Ploty (Between the Fences) originally was to demystify the residents of Bohnice psychiatric hospital - on whose expansive grounds the festival takes place. Over the course of the two-day festival, you will be able to see dozens of bands or theater troupes.
Recommended acts include pop rock singer Aneta Langerová, alternative rockers Sunflower Caravan, Prague-based American pop-funk singer Tonya Graves, indie rockers Sunshine, Polish-Cuban jazz singer Yvonne Sanchez, and Czech underground legends Psí Vojáci.
The full program is available on the Mezi Ploty website.
The venue can be reached by taking the red metro line (line C) to "Kobylisy", transferring to bus 177 or 200 and getting off at "Katowice."
Tickets (CZK 250) are available at Ticketstream or at the gates.
