Monet - Warhol exhibit comes to Prague
September 28, 2010 - Starting October 13, the National Gallery in Prague will present one of the most important European collections - the Rita and Herbert Batliner collection, recently presented at the Albertina Museum in Vienna.

This extraordinary project will present 80 works of art by the great personalities of modern European and American scene. Works of such quality and in such an extent have not been exhibited anywhere during the past 20 years.
The collection includes exceptional works such as Monet's famous Water Lilies, works by Henri Matisse and Pierre Bonnard, as well as surrealist works, paintings by German expressionists and by representatives of the Russian avant-garde. Post-war art is represented by Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, Yves Klein and Francis Bacon.
Advance ticket sales (admission: CZK 200) have begun at the Veletržní Palace box office as well as via the Ticketpro sales network.
