New attraction at Prague Castle: The Rosenberg Palace
March 16, 2010 -Starting in April, Prague Castle's Rosenberg Palace will be open to the public for the first time in history. Visitors will be able to see the amazing frescoes in the palace's chapel dedicated to the Holy Trinity and the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary, as well as a noblewoman's chambers.

The palace's chapel is unrivalled in Prague for its monumentality and amazing frescos. The magnificently restored Renaissance-era Rosenberg Hall will be accessible as well.
Also snce during the realm of Maria Theresa, the Rosenberg Palace was converted into the Institute of Noblewomen (a home for impoverished noblewomen), there will be an exhibition on the life of noblewomen of the time.
The exhibition, which evokes the life of unmarried noblewomen, will consist feature a room furnished in the style of a noblewoman. On display will be 60 items from the Prague Castle depository in the popular Biedermeier and neo-rococo styles. Besides furniture, visitors will see also stoves, stationery, lamps, candlesticks, glass, porcelain and timepieces.
The admission fee for the Rosenberg Palace will be included in entrance tickets to Prague Castle (long tour and short tour). More information on tickets is available from the Prague Castle website.
