Parallax Sterescopic Video Art Festival
December 6, 2011 - One day only, December 8, the Lucerna Cinema will host this unique festival dedicated to 3D technology.
The festival opens at 3pm with one of the most daring 3D projects of the year, Wim Wenders' documentary on the late dance choreographer Pina Bausch, entitled simply Pina. The film is this year's German entry to the Academy Awards.
Also on the program is a workshop with Czech filmmaker Tomáš Petráň, two sections featuring Czech and foreign short films, and a debate on the use of 3D technology in contemporary art.
A second festival highlight is the screening of Werner Herzog's Cave of Forgotten Dreams, about the amazing cave paintings in Chauvet Cave in southen France.
