The Bodies.... The Exhibition

may 2007 - The “Bodies…. The Exhibition”  is in Prague. This Exhibition uses real human bodies that have been preserved so they do not decay.

Despite rising protestsThe "Bodies ... The Exhibition," putting on display human cadavers, their parts and internal organs, will stay in Prague. It does not violate any regulations, told Prague 1 town hall spokesman Alexandr Kořáb, referring to the police. The town hall addressed the police who

inspected the exhibition. They arrived at the conclusion that organisers have committed no misdemeanour or criminal act.

The exhibition was prepared by Roy Glover, professor of anatomy and cellular biology at University of Michigan. A human specimen is first preserved according to standard mortuary science. The specimen is then dissected to show whatever it is that someone wants to display. Once dissected, the specimen is immersed in acetone, which eliminates all body water. The specimen is then placed in a large bath of silicone, or polymer, and sealed in a vacuum chamber.

Exhibition is scheduled to last until October 28. Bodies... The Exhibition.
