The Sedlec-Prčice walk

May 11, 2010 - On Saturday, the traditional walk from Prague to Sedlec-Prčice. Originally a protest from the time of Communism, the tradition has remained but without any political symbolism.

The march features many hundreds of people walking from Prague to the town of Prčice in a festive and fun atmosphere. Wlkers depart at 5.30 in the morning and at 6 am from the Háje metro station.

If you're not feeling up to walking the entire 70km in one day, you can also do just a part of the route (it's allowed). All the meeting points can be found on the organizers' website.

Or you can do the route on bike. A bus brings the hikers back to the starting point.
