Tomáš Verner is European Champion in figure skating!

January 2008 - After 16 years a Czech won the European Championship in figure skating. In Zagreb he left behind him Stépane Lambiel of Switzerland and the French Brian Joubert. He was better than the last year in Warsaw where he finished with a silver medal and he can quietly prepare for the World Championship in two months in Sweden

Verner was on the top of the ranking since the beginning of the competition and he profited until the end from the support of public in Zagreb who decorated the whole stadium with czech flags.

After the competition the reporter gave him his fist question in czech and he responded in the same language before switching into English. Tomáš is 21 years old and his adversaries look at him with a respect.

He´s a good jumper but his main trumps are in the dramaturgy and contact with the public.

Normally a men´s dress costs around 20,000 CZK (700 EUR) but this season Tomáš has changed several times a music and he does not even want to say how much did it cost him in total. His team with trainers cost him about 500,000 CZK, the choreography 200,000 CZK.

The whole season can cost this pleasant sportsman about 1,500,000 CZK which is not easy to be finances.
