Nachos, quesadillas, fajitas, tacos ... If you like hearty, occasionally spicy meals, then read on! Our team has tested and tested the best Mexican food in Prague. Olé !
For lovers of international cuisine, Prague has the benefit of being both a toutist destination and a relatively multicultural city. As a result, you'll find the cuisine of many different nationalities here. And some of the city's best ethnic restaurants are Mexican.
One of the most popular (partially because of its location in the Lesser Town) is Cantina. The location also means that it is not the least expensive. Also, because of its reputation, it is definitely worth making a reservation. The menu contains all the Mexican dishes your heart could desire. Looking for a deal? Stop by for the lunchtime specials, when you can get a main dish for just CZK 110.
If you are looking for a more relaxed atmosphere, check out Fosil Bar at Vinohradská 25 in Prague 2. In addition to serving real Mexican food and great cocktails, you can also unwind with salsa dancing (lessons for beginners are free). The atmosphere is like a typical Mexican taverns. Again, don't forget to reserve a table, especially if you are in a group, because the room is quite small.
Also in Vinohrady, but closer to I,P. Pavlova and Náměstí Míru, there are Radost and Zluta Pumpa. Both are not exclusively Mexican, but offer Mexican dishes, Zluta Pumpa quite good ones in fact. Radost is popular with expats, and the prices are accordingly high; Zluta Pumpa is a little more out of the way, but offers a more "Czech" Mexican experience, if you can wrap your head around that one.
