The Jizera Mountains (Jizerské hory)

The unofficial capital of North Bohemia is the town of Liberec. Looming above town is Ještěd Mountain with its unique TV tower. The local Ještěd ski region is easily reached by cable car from town.
The ski runs are of a high standard, thanks to which the resort hosted the 2009 FIS World Championships in Classic Skiing.
Special buses transport skiers from Prague and other towns and cities to the resort. A one-day adult ski pass costs 590 CZK (23 EUR), a child’s pass 320 CZK (13 EUR). Skiers can relax at the Babylon Centre in Liberec, which features an aquapark and a bowling alley.
Tanvaldský Špičák is suitable for all kinds of skiers thanks to its slopes of varying degrees of difficulty, while the resorts of Bedřichov and Severák cater especially to families with children.
A 6-day adult ski pass to Tanvaldský Špičák costs 2,680 CZK (99 EUR), a child’s pass 1,880 CZK (69 EUR).
