Nový Jičín

This Moravian town is 355 kilometres from Prague (310 km by motorway). Travelling from Prague, visitors can reach Nový Jičín in about 4 hours.
Nový Jičín was founded in the 13th century. Travellers will find the remains of an old fortress, Renaissance and baroque buildings, including the Old Post Office dating back to 1563. The Lords of Žerotín founded the castle in the 16th century. Originally built in the romanesque style, castle visitors today can admire the Empire style
