Třebíč

Like Mikulov, the small town of Třebíč is home to another preseved Jewish quarter, this one a protected UNESCO World Heritage site. The town is about 2 hours driving distance from Prague, roughly 170 kilometres.
Inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage list, Třebíč's Jewish quarter is located amidst small back alleys. Visitors can identify the town hall, the rabbi’s office, the hospital, the hospice and the old school. There are also two synagogues. The 17th-century Jewish cemetary is situated nearby.
The basilica of Saint Prokop has a beautiful portal and a central rosette which is a copy of the stained-glass window at Reims Cathedral in France. The oldest part of the basilica is the chapel’s abbey, dating back to 1250.
