Krkonoše National Park (KRNAP)

This national park is one of the most important protected landscape areas in the Czech Republic. It features preserved nature without concrete, though it also offers winter sports opportunities.
The Krkonoše Mountains, also known as the Giant Mountains, are a popular skiing destination in winter and hiking destination in summer. During every season, we can discover the mountains through the town of Špindlerův Mlýn, the best (together with Rokytnice nad Jizerou) and most beautiful place for downhill skiing in the region.
The town features eight blue slopes, 10 red slopes, three black slopes and more than 100km of cross-country skiing. You can also ski by night.
The skiing and hiking trails near Pec pod Sněžkou are reputed in both summer and winter. Year-round, the aerial tramway will take you to the top of Sněžka mountain, the highest peak in the Czech Republic. Downhill skiers will find seven red slopes and five blue slopes. The beautiful village of Janské lázně is reputed for its thermal waters and, in winter, its ski slopes.
