Rokytnice nad Jizerou

Together with Špindlerův Mlýn and Janské Lázně, Rokytnice nad Jizerou is one of the three best ski resorts in the Czech Republic. Rokytnice is the less touristy of the three, and the nature - especially if you take the ski-lift to Lysá Hora - is gorgeous and the view over the entire Krkonoše just breath-taking.
Just two hours from Prague, you can find more than 18 kilometres of ski slopes in Rokytnice nad Jizerou, with two big ski-lifts and several tows. There is free parking close to the lifts.
There is also a free ski-bus which travels through town.
Beginners or those without their own equipment will be glad to hear that you can find ski rental and skiing schools as well. If you call in advance, it should be no problem to get an English-speaking instructor.
Snowboard lovers will certainly enjoy the Snow Park at the bottom station of the ski-lift, children will like the Milka Park. And anyone interested can also try out snow-tubing on large inner tubes.
